Timberland is locate one mile south of Sunnyside and has many "old Tahoe cabins", with beautiful forest settings. Timberland is desirable because it is close to the amenities of Tahoe City but hidden away in a quiet, hidden location. Timberland has access to an abundant amount of hiking trails, and only a short bike ride to Hurricane Bay (public beach).
